Bangladesh Customs steps up efforts on air cargo control

Bangladesh recently hosted a Practical Training on Air Cargo Control under the framework of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime-World Customs Organization Container Control Programme.

The training sought to deepen the knowledge of officials on modern risk-profiling techniques, security of the airside environment, and other relevant aspects for air cargo control and trade facilitation.

The training was conducted at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by WCO training experts and is in support of the future Air Cargo Control Unit at Dhaka Airport.

The implementation of the Container Control Programme in Bangladesh in funded by the Government of Japan. – WCO
